About Us
OnlineHaircuts.com had its humble beginning in a California garage in 2008 with a borrowed laptop and a single pair of scissors, and in a brief period of time has expanded to become the leader in online grooming technology. In 2009, National Worldwide purchased a 20% stake in the company. The OnlineHaircuts.com team has over 125 years of combined experience with haircuts.
Meet the team
- Michael Wyszomierski, Founder
Michael was inspired to create OnlineHaircuts.com in late 2007 when on the night before a job interview, he realized that he had forgotten to get badly-needed a haircut, and it was too late for him to go to a salon or barber as they had all closed for the night. When he didn't get the job (long-haired freaky people need not apply), Michael vowed to create a service that would let anyone get their hair cut wherever they wanted, whenever they wanted. Sensing a new market opportunity, Michael quietly developed the OnlineHaircuts.com concept with a small team of trusted industry pioneers before launching a private beta of the service in 2009. Oh, and the company that turned down long-haired Michael? It was OnlineHaircuts.com.*
Before starting OnlineHaircuts.com, Michael held positions of increasing responsibility in the textile industry, specializing in nonwoven fabric. Michael first cut his own hair when he was five years old.
- Mike Leotta, Lead Barber
Mike serves as OnlineHaircuts.com's webmaster and lead barber.
Prior to joining OnlineHaircuts.com, Mike worked for a startup search engine which ranked web pages alphabetically. Mike always cuts his own hair.
- Sophia Lin, Strategist, Emerging Media
Sophia heads the OnlineHaircuts.com emerging media team, which is primarily responsible for finding new ways to better participate in the conversation with the OnlineHaircuts.com user community. Additionally, Sophia works to foster the health of the online grooming industry via communications platforms such as the award-winning "DoubleSnip!" video podcast.
Sophia has two cats named Pancakes and Candycane.

* We're pretty sure he's joking, but that's how he always tells the story. He's kind of weird.
